could a special Imp  unit be created for the 501st? Like  make it twice  or even three times the number of Storm troopers, with a slight tweak on healt or damage...something to make them Vaders fist

I think with the number of Empire heroes and possible Empire heroes you are more likely to get somewhere asking for it as a Republic special unit.

Iron

the 501st should be just a minor hero(named Vader's Fist during the Galactic Civil War)

say about 6 squads of soldiers in the unit with there own Warship(Venator-class Star Destroyer(when deploying on land 3 gunships deploy the unit)

A Venator? If you say so. I would have thought they would have been the first in line for an Imperator Class Star Destroyer. Or did you mean in the Republic?

i mean if they are for both eras

Imperator II-class Star Destroyer during the rebellion era; 3 Lambda-class shuttles put them on the ground during the Galactic Civil War

Venator-class Star Destroyer for the Rise of the Empire era; 3 LAAT/i Gunships put them on the ground during the clone wars

Sounds good, but you make it seem like the LAAT series gunships weren't used by the Empire... Just thought it was a little weird.

Ah... I'm probably just over-reacting. *laughs*

That or temporary invulrenability or structure capturing

OR even better........... ability to "Hijack" Light to heavy vehicles(can't capture hero vehicles)
and "Strafing Run"-Calls in a group of 2 Arc-170s(or Eta-2 Actis and Arc-170, V-wing and Eta-2 Actis, V-wing and Arc-170, 2 V-wings, or 2 Eta-2 Actis) to deliver a ton of laser fire on the area of choice

As a space tac abaility? well that dosen't seem like a very cannon way to do it.  If anything it would Be a 501st ISD 1/2 or Venator, with maby a better power to weapons abaility, and a wider array of fighters onboard in addition to the TIE's.

I heard about the 501st, they were Vader personal faveret and were the first to be under his comand to the Empire elite group, so yes 501st would be nice, i was hoping that when in space 501 would have ARC 170 fighter and in the ground the would be in the Turbo tank. Something like that. They should look more like clone trooper than storm, and they should be in light blue since the are marine. :r2d2: <------Like this color on R2D2 ;D Also the turbo tank should spawn more 501st troops like the AT-AT, oh jeez why dont we just create a planet that can buy all the 501st stuff.

Well technically the 501st goes from the Clone Wars toThe New Republic as far as i know.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/501st

So ARC-170's in space for the Clone Wars and Rise of the Empire era is ok but not once you hit the Galatic Civil War

accually they worked for the REpublic in the Clone Wars the Empire in the Galactic Civil War and still loyal to the imperials until their latest appearance in 150 ABY

I agree with everything so far. We should include them in both eras. But the strafing run ability wouldn't be good unless you can only use once per map. I mean, destroy EVERYTHING in an area?? THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES!! It sounds awesome, but it's kinda cheap in a way...
Aw well, love the transition ideas. They should pilot ARC-170's though. Like 3 groups of enhanced ARC-170's accompanied by a Venator and in the Galactic Civil War, 3 groups of TIE Avengers accompanied by a Victory Cruiser or some other cruiser\destroyer because in BF2, you pilot fighters/ bombers, not big ships.

Yea, you could use and ISD, but I thought it was too big at the moment, but if they're gonna be a hero unit, I'd agree on using an ISD instead. You could also have 1 group of ARC's, then 1 of Torents and 1 of V-wings or Eta's, and when the Empire comes 1 TIE fighter/bomber/interceptor instead of just 3 fighter groups.

whoa there skippy. Eta's? no no no. that was just a mistake in battlefront 2 .   sides the only thing advanced you need on the 501st capital ship is some heavier armoring and perhaps a secondary sheild gennerator

Well, yea that would work too. But I just liked the idea of having them in fighters like in BF2 and be accompanied by the ship they launched from. I see my nickname is skippy now too. Lol.

Yes it is.   But Eta's just won't do by all rights ARC-170 is the recon scout.  built with a hyperdrive and enhances sensor package in the nose

Dude, Eta's weren't a mistake in BF2, they might have made a mistake by making them exact copies of Anakin's Yellow one, but they're not a mistake... For example, a Venator- Class Star Destroy carried 192 Eta-2's at one time, and during the clone wars you were lucky if there was one jedi for every 4/5 Venators..., so... it's obvious that they were flown by clones too. I mean what is one jedi gonna do with almost 200 fighters that only he is allowed to fly? Also in the book, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Incredible Cross sections , it mentions that the Eta's were favorites of Jedi Fighter Aces, not that they were use exclusively by the jedi, but that they were a popular choice by jedi pilots.

alright point. but Eta's wern,t ment for scouting they are for point defence work, keeping the fleet safe from fast movers.  They reqired a hyperspace ring just to jump, sheilds couldn't have been that strong either

I do see your point in not using Eta's, I think that if the 501st can be used in space they should just have 3 squads of enhanced ARC-170's and a Venator accompanying them. Idk, I don't know a lot about them, but that's what I'd do.  :D

yeah the fleet is a bit large of an idea i'll admit.  But The 501st Leigon of Clone troopers and later Stormtroopers wern't all pilots and grunts.  They were the clones you called when the S#it hit the fan big time. So it make sence that they have to be more versitile than just Fighters in space and troops on the ground. :destroyer:

Idk about a whole HUGE fleet, but I like the idea of the Venators/ARC-170's and the ISD/2 Amaculators/TIE fighters in space, and just stormtroopers and clones on land. A huge fleet seems like a little too much for just one hero. If it was that big, I think it would need to be equaled out for the enemy.
