Quite! I got to go down to Disneyworld with the High School Marching Band (In case you're wondering, we're somewhere in the range of ~250 people, and we're one of the only large bands in our area.  Others average on 30.  Also, we're not all band geeks, we're too big)

I was amazed at the level of freedom they gave us, and my friends and I went to most of the parks in the 4 1/2 days we were there.

How was yours?

Depending on where you go in Virginia, we might make the same trip (Although I'm not going, it's pretty expensive and I've heard it's not that fun)

We were there on Friday (Left for the airport at 2AM and waited there until our plane at 7:30AM.  We got to spend basically 10:00 onwards in the parks.  We stayed there until Monday.  We weren't there for over a week because we had only had one parade to do, (same for the Orchestra and Choir) and it's pretty expensive to stay longer than you need in Disney.

No, we're only do pretty local parades. I think the farthest away we travel for a parade is 40 minutes.  I would provide a video of us playing but there aren't many good quality ones.  If you really want to I will, though.

This is from last year so I'm not in it, and if the different sections sound a little 'off'  it's because the front and back of the band are playing the same thing, but since the back of the band is farther away, there is a delay in the sound.  (It happens when we're on the football field because we're take the entire thing up)

Also, I'm a Tenor Sax, we're one of the first instruments you can see!

it makes me very envious to see a band that has more than 1 tuba and has a euphonium at all!

yeah...we in Austria got some problem a while back....frankly bcs no bar tender and no employee at a supermarket cared how old you are and didn't even ask for an ID. a girl in my former class got a free trip to a hospital bcs she was drinking vodka like water one night....
every year there's a ranking and...well...proud to be from Austria - we're the best! in drinking and smoking underage in Europe.
but the situation kinda got under control I think.
nevertheless it's a lot easier to get alcohol in Austria or Germany or maybe whole Europe then in the US, even if you're 14 or 15 years old...

What I understand from Germans and Austrians, being drunk (among teenagers) is not genarally acceptable. However in here Finland when teen get drunk he/she gets cool guy status. It is quite sad, but I think that when it gets over and someone gets all wasted its not cool anymore.

it is - sadly - a matter of social status at Austria as well.
in cities with a pop of >200k, most teenagers going to a highschool do not smoke or get pregnant underage .
people from a lower social group with poorer education mostly do smoke and...well....I friend of mine made an apprenticeship and all of his class mates were smokers and 3 were pregnant before turning 18....
on the countryside, you're still cool if you smoke and drink lots of alcohol.
being totally wasted ain't cool. but having 9 beer and not being wasted - definitely cool for some reason...
...and I couldn't disagree more..

From what i know from talking with my dad, the only time he really drank a lot was in the german army (12 years) and ususally ended up regretting it due to having to do 12k runs the day after sometimes xD
