I have recently bought the "Gold Pack" of EAW and FoC.

I'm trying to play FOC multiplayer, and whenever I try to login into "Internet" in multiplayer, the game stops responding and refuses to do anything.

My specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate/Windows XP Pro dual-boot (both are 32-bit)
Geforce GTS250
4Gigs of Corsair RAM

Anyone know why this is happening? It does this both in vanilla FoC and modded FoC. Also happens with XP.

Running the game as Admin doesn't help.

Specify "game stops responding and refuses to do anything". Can you still cancel and go back to main menu, or do you mean a real ctd (crash to desktop)?

It doesn't CTD.

When I click "Connect" in Multiplayer, the game will load the next window, but will immediately freeze, though I'm still able to use the mouse and the menu music still continues. However, I'm unable to click on anything. I have to use alt-control-del to bring up the Windows 7 blue screen, and load up the Task Manager to get out of the game, and the Task Manager says it stopped responding.

Hm...Sounds like an odd variation of the old server problem...
Try the attached program. It bypasses the server thingy Gamespy did. You need administrator rights and .Net Framework 4.0 to run it.

Thanks, that made it work. I have no idea why, but it seems they kinda screwed it up with the Gold Pack.

My game says I have version 1.01, is that version 1.1?

Yep probably. And no, it has to do with the gamespy-servers, sometimes your PC recognizes the new IPs they have and sometimes it doesn't. In this case you have to use this patch.
