The theme can be worked on; as much as I love oranges this may be a bit too much :P.

Main thing is that it's all transferred and running very fast (for me, anyway), which will not only help with the website and boards but also the mod production.

Kudos to Mike.nl for sorting it all out.

Thanks, I'm just sorry that it took a week; I expected it to last only 2 days or so.

The new design is partly due to the upgrade to SMF 2.0 and partly due to the theme itself. The old SMF 1.1 theme was modified and incompatible with SMF 2.0, so I installed the original version by the original artist that was compatible with SMF 2.0.

I'm not an artist but I can see if I can make the orange less... pronounced :P

If there any theme elements that can be edited (there usually are?), I can create more applicable graphics to help reduce the orange burden :P.

I just need another color that suits the design yet makes links stand out a bit. I want to keep the theme modifications to a minimum, so just some color changes will do; nothing fancy.

Was thinking about the 'new' icons next to new posts; the icons are orange but could easily be edited to a nicer shade of blue.

Perhaps somewhat desaturated blue...? Not too saturated and bright but subtle.

I think a design-change ios maybe not a bad idea. a fresh start for UEAW. With the mod coming along, and the new server, a new design may show the rebirth of a long dream coming true.

I quite agree; but a full re-design right now would be highly time-consuming when we have balancing and AI-scripting to do :)... Either way, I don't think orange is the way forward ;).

sure a completely redesign would need by far too much time.
but it looks all new and maybe just change to some less aggressive colour does it.

I think the grey worked fine.  If we were to do blue, it would have to be a soft blue, if it were intense it would be too hard to read.  Something like this color:  :evil2:
