Planetary Revolts (rebels, not corruption)
« on: December 01, 2010, 07:25 pm »

I'm playing a GC as rebels at the moment and i'm gaining far too many planets from the planets revolting against the Empire.

I thought there was an option to turn this off in game but i must of been wrong.

So therefore i wish to get rid of this feature through editing of the XMLs, but i am unable to find any mention of it

Anybody know which xmls i should be looking in and what lines of coding i should look out for? so far i have a possible suspect -   <Suspended_Plot>Intervention_Indigenous_Revolt.xml</Suspended_Plot>

there is also a file called INTERVENTION_REBEL_REVOLT.XML, but looking in the XML i don't understand what is in there - so i think it's very possible i'm barking up the wrong tree!

Thanks in advance for any help  :D

Impossible, until you don't want to delete the bond citizens (or sth. like this, I'm german, so the name of this ability is free translated from german to english) corruption ability of each planet. Another way could be to change the corruption itself, but I don't know if this is possible - and if yes, you have to learn Lua :P
And no, the story file you mean is unrelating to your problem as far as I can say.

thank you for your reply but i think you may have misunderstood me, as i am playing as rebels (not the consortium / tyber zann) so it is not from corruption but something else causing the planet to delete/remove the Empire ground base and space stations, and come under my (rebel) control.

It is happening too often though, and even though i'm just defending my planets i'm conquering the galaxy - it's making things too easy!

...never heard about this. Must be a bug or something else, but definitivly NOTHING I've ever heard about it.
Wait a mom, I think after a zann revolt the players ownership switches to the ownership of the civilians.

no no, it's not a bug.

When it happens, i hear "planetary control achieved" and the R2 unit in the display shows "mission holocron updated"

when i click it, it says "revolt!" and that "our influence has reached one of the Empire's planets" - a hologram of mon mothma also shows up and she says those words.  It is in the original game (even without modding), and that is what i want to remove.

Ah, atroublestarter is referring to the old events from vanilla EaW, you know, when a planetary revolt on an Imperial world suddenly happens and you get control of the planet.

Neither have I, I just wanted to help get the problem solved, because I understand what the problem actually is not necessarily how to fix it.

Your "possible suspect" should be pretty much what you are looking for.
It is one of the original game's(EaW, not FoC) interventions which you seem to have ported to FoC.
If you want to disable the planet revolts it should be enough to just remove the line you mentioned in your first post from all your GC plot files.

That is what I was thinking, but I don't like giving bad advice.
