This is kinda ground request but if I don't write it now I wont remember it anymore Tounge

So in space battle you can see in mini map were enemy's capital ships are. So what about large ground vehicles and buildings? Or large number of enemy troops like army of infantry troops or fleet of star fighters? In ground battle you have fleet in space so it can detect large movement on ground. I think that it makes more sense if you can see stuff in your minimap. Its hard to make plans if you don't have any scout data. Certainly you cant see everything like small group of commandos or small croup of vehicles/starships.

So what you think about it? This is first real request in long time for me and for other members are quiet in request board. When I joined here my focus was in UEAW and star wars board. Not in the backroom. Now "real" boards are quiet. So I think that maybe we all should focus more to these "real" topics.

i belive is possible they should use symbols too on the map to differentiate between unit types, even if its simple like infantry dots and tanks triangles, walkers squares, ect...

but otherwise i support if for large vehicals liek T4Bs and AT-ATs

Well maybe there should be option to choose settings of mini map. Like normal (same at is now) Medium (shows big units buildings and large groups) All on (shows every enemy unit as own symbol. Like Doyle said )

no...I dislike this idea.
the glue @ landbattles is, that you actually don't know where the enemy is. You have to use Scout units or risk something.
It gives you the possibility to hide your main forces when attacked to pretend weakness when defending your buildings only with garrisson first.
also, it would make artillery a truely super-weapon.
so...I dislike this idea.
maybe, on some planets, where it'd be totally unrealistic that units or buildings would be hidden (as tatooine i.e.), but mainly --> no.

I agree with stockholm... it's one thing in space, but with land you would be able to see too much of the battlefield, and it would end up being a constant fear or anger of the enemy barraging you with artillery or vice versa which would just make one angry person...

Indeed, whilst in space certain capitals are made visible due to their large size and energy signature (for a canon reason), on land you have what is essentially, as His Grace the Duke of Wellington would say:

'All the business of war, and indeed all the business of life, is to endeavour to find out what you don't know by what you do; that's what I called "guessing what was at the other side of the hill."'

Space combat map may be reviewed for V1.
