It would be a perfectly viable back-up feature for whatever reason if there were problems with the installer, however...

any reason you require this feature?

What he said.

Thinking out loud here, but if you have a thumb drive, why not put the installer & all other associated files on it, and then transfer it to the PC that way.

No no no; his problem is that he can transfer the installer, but the installer can't update the game once it's there because there is no internet.

Whilst you should just be able to run the internet, there are two solutions:

  • We could host manual update files
  • You could install it AND update it on another PC, then copy the entire (updated) UEAW directory from that PC with a flash drive to your laptop?

That would be a waste of our time, what is preventing you from installing the game on the internet connected PC?

I'll look into how much trouble it'd be to have manual update files available in future.

it would be simple enough to spoof the internet connected pc into thinking it had EAW + FOC installed. I presume that the UEAW launcher searches for an FOC file structure? or does it use the registry?

could be worth making some empty files and trying to install the mod.
