As most of you know there is a new battlefront game out called star wars battlefront elite squadron.
one thing that makes this game cool is that you can take a ship off the ground and fight above the land,
so i think that there should be captial ships battling above the land, making it more realistic.

Capital ships rarely battle on land because once they enter they usually have a hard time getting out.

I say no, would sway balance towards building more and more capital ships again instead of actual ground forces.

and the original movie-ISD weren't able to get into atmospheare.... (I believe the first ones were, but following modells weren't able to)

and seriously -- which effort would it make?

well this was an idea for the complete mod, not or the galictic civil war era, but clone wars era, because  the venator star destroyers, and CIS frigets can battle above the land, in clouds, and what i mend for the subject was anyship above land.

Well I dont think that maps are big enough for commanding space ships. Or just allow big ship to land. But It could be done with shadows.

And no, the land maps are too small and the combat system too limited - any real capital ship could blast the ground below into smithereens rendering tanks etc. useless.
