general grevious's roller bike & blaster
« on: March 11, 2009, 07:10 am »

is it possible for him to spawn on that bike, (maybe add a few lasers on it, and the bike can crush people) he can only jump off it when it is distroyed (just like the scout trooper, except general Grievous is waaaaaay stronger than the pathetic plastic boy LOLOLOL  :D ), oh and also please make general grievous slower (he's a cybourg, so slower speed should be canon) , so the bike at least proves some purpose on transporting him faster.

UPDATE! just thought of this one.

or, instead of grievous spawning on his bike, we can add another ability (dismount), to capture command posts. it should be basic for only infantry and dismounted hero units be able to capture landing points, right? if this rule applies, grievous won't be able to capture a LZ in the bike. with dismount added, he should be able to get off his bike when he wishes. if the enemy ambushes the empty bike, that'd be bad luck. so ya, some strategy there.

oh, and grievous should be able to remount, too. if the bike is still there that is.... otherwise, turn the "remount" ability button on the dismount Grey and unclickable, if the worst shhould happen to the bike.

although it's canon, I'm feared the community wouldn't like it. There's also the problem that Grievous would be a tank/cavallry hero unit. I don't know which special forces are planned for him, but I'm sure it will collide.

but -  nice idea!

I like this idea. But not if you add laser canons to bike and there is no laser in that bike so non-cannon = bad  :(

In the mod, if Grevious has his blaster, he should be able to use it while on the wheel. However, no weapons should be mounted directly on the wheel.

that would be an awsome idea! cos grievous does have a blaster, and it'll be bad as crap if we made him use his blaster as a secondary ability, and IF the bike was created, it does need a ranged blaster. a single solution for 2 problems. nice one, urkspleen!

it would be a good idea. If the actual bike does have a gun(s) I suggest that they are anti-infantry so that way he isn't uber. Special ability = boost or something

and he can crush troops :P

Well, i just looked at the wookieepedia article (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Tsmeu-6_personal_wheel_bike), and it turns out that the bike did have a mounted laser cannon. We should choose to add this or his blaster, but not both. Personally, I like the idea of having the weapon mounted, and letting him keep his blaster for a switch weapon ability when he is on foot.

i reckon it is reasonable, and the boost ability combined with an active crush would be great.

Here's the problem...we can only give him 2 abilities.....

so I think it's best that we give him 1 were he can use 4 lightsabers at once, and the other will be the bike

it won't make such a difference i think, all lightsaber attack powers should be equal, ability or not. and hey we can have him do the duel helicoptering too, along with other attack moves, but randomly. just like other jedi/sith, they have different attack motions, do the same for grievous. don't we all love randomness?

Well, i just looked at the wookieepedia article (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Tsmeu-6_personal_wheel_bike), and it turns out that the bike did have a mounted laser cannon. lolololololol. who would choose a blaster when 4, lightsabers are avaliable?

how about we set his blaster's power to a dark trooper MKII's power level, and set his bike cannon's power at an ATST's power, but a lower rate of fire?

i'd rather have grevious then his bike... perhaps a special abili9ty
Speed boost

as for an ability for the bike, i might probably choose this one. on the page in wookieepedia it said it had climbing claws, and the 2 guns feeds power off it, if Grievous activates the claws, he won't be able to fire the cannons. and i wonder if it's possible to make him go into crawl arms mode for a few seconds, so he can climb up some slopes and canyons IN his bike? ideal for a surprise attack!

or, instead of grievous spawning on his bike, we can add another ability (dismount),for him to get off and capture command posts or do stuff. it should be basic for only infantry and dismounted hero units be able to capture landing points, right? if this rule applies, grievous won't be able to capture a LZ in the bike. with dismount added, he should be able to get off his bike when he wishes. if the enemy ambushes the empty bike, that'd be bad luck. so ya, some strategy there.

oh, and grievous should be able to remount, too. if the bike is still there that is.... otherwise, turn the "remount" ability button on the dismount Grey and unclickable, if the worst shhould happen to the bike.

*in multiplayer*
player one: go, grievous! dismount! slice that jedi's head off!
opponent 1: yay, let's scan the map! ooh, some clankers here, some there, Tralalala HEY whats that, a bike? go clones!
player one: come on man ki adi mundi you can do better than that bettar luck next time ooh my bike i almost forgot my bike let's go find it shoul be behind this rock NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO my bike! MY Beautiful bike!!!

                                                           :D

for a fair way in GC, the general grievous bike bonus should be brought.

P.S. lolol i cant wait to play the CIS campaign! lol. [*adds possible script*] grievous goes somewhere on a mission to get his bikes, and he pops up in hologram, saying "*huff* TIIIIIME, Foor some *cough* R&R!! *koff*"

he uses 4 lightsabers all the time... why don't we make his other power his blaster, and for the record i disapprove of grievous having a bike, id rather just have him.

Yeah, he does. That should really be a passive ability. I think maybe "Call Wheel Bike" and "Cheap Shot." "Cheap Shot" is using his blaster while in battle off the bike.

Hence why I keep suggesting a "Cheap Shot" option where he uses his blaster to, lets say, perform a kill on a unit. But make it slow to recharge.

There are Laser cannons on Grievous's wheelbike.

1 shot kill, or severe damage?
