The Republic Artillery Gun should be added as a Republic Artillery. It is basically the only one they had.

Yes, I agree with Sarcastic. It would be cool to have, don't get me wrong but it's just not.... as well know, SPHA-T. Sorry.

I say no to the RAG. Something fills it already.

Maybe make it upgradable? Start with the SPMAT and then later on upgrade to the SPHAT?

Back up the truck; this isn't a precursor, it fires shells, and is driven on repulsorlifts.

It could fill a field artillery role, compared with the heavy role of the SPHA-T.

Wouldn't it make more sense to stick with the SPHA series though? They were featured prominently for quite a while.

But just after the Battle of Muunilinst they weren't used as far as I know. The RAG could be for worlds that cant use the SPHA. Also it would be very interesting.

SPHA-T is Self Propelled Heavy Artillery-Turbolaser

SPMAT is Self Propelled Medium Artillery-Turbolaser

RAG is Republic Artillery Gun

If you look at the affiliation for the SPMA-T, you see that galactic republic is not listed, because the game is the only appearance. (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Self-Propelled_Medium_Artillery)

So, we choose between the RAG and the SPHA-T.

SPHA-T is the obvious choice, because it appears in many places and was obviously in widespread use (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Self-Propelled_Heavy_Artillery).

The only appearances for the RAG are references related to the Clone Wars TV series (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Republic_Artillery_Gun)

So: we use the SPHA-T

But, the SPHA can be defeated by IG lancer droids. It would kill enemy units and they would cost about 8,000 for 2 pieces. Each would be 4,000. Good enough?

in other words, the SPHA-T is more cannon than the RAG, so the SPHA-T stays as the public's choice.
