Yes. It should be. As an outline:

1. 501st never truely did anything big in battles. They quelled riots on planets and did a few things during the opening days of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, but that's it.
2. It's just basically a free Stormie squad. They didn't even keep the blue stripe.
3. It can't have any balance because THERE'S NOTHING ELSE IN ELITE SQUADS ON OTHER FACTIONS.

There would've been the posibility for the CIS if you people listened to reason... As the CIS do have many different droid variants than the Simple B1s, B2s, and Droidekas.

If the 501st would be at all considered I'd say for only the Republic(2 units; four squads) at a high tech level but once gone it can never come back.

Not much, however, and most of it I believe is like the Grapple B2s.

Well, during the imperial remnant the 501st did some more important work, especially with the Empire of the hand. But that doesn't effect us because it occurs after the era coverage of the mod.

But that's besides the point. It is still a bad idea because it adds very little to the game.

Let's not use the word "worship". It could be touchy for some people. Still the 501st troops for the GAR isn't the worst idea I have heard lately.

People hate the idea because they only know so little on how important the Five hundred & First'(Five Oh First) has been. They are practically Vader's own legion given to him by the Emperor himself.

They've been in more canon novels and games and even in Episode III (The clones with Blue stripes)

Stormtroopers aren't "Normal." They're just the elite troops. Imperial Soldiers are actually seen more often along with Officers than them.

thats mostly why i dont want 501st: cuz BFII made them so UBER that its blindly impossible to see any weakness...

You know, that's not such a bad idea. It makes sense since they were Vader's Fist. Also, it doesn't give you another free-ro.

not true. Order 66 killed many jedi how many troopers fired the killing shot. 1 per jedi. You can't have more then one fatal shot.

what i meant was in BFII the 501st troopers are blindly uber, as in for each trooper there is one jedi... if your a human player.
