Actually, it has appeared in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars video game (the one with the Dark Reaper) and I don't believe that game is considered non-canon.  *leaves it to the experts*

because 2M won't work in the republic, which is the era in which this tank operated

the 2-M and the TX-130 only share a similar chassis; the TX-130 is smaller, faster, less armored, has different lasers, and has an open beam turret instead of a closed heavy laser cannon.

yes, and i think that although they were different in several ways, the TX-130 could still that same anit infantry and vehicle role that the 2M tries to do but epically fails.

2M will be changed around to be stronger against light armor, TX-130 would be all-around.

I don't really think this would require a vote. I think it's more on the cutting edge floor for the staff.

I'm kinda getting the impression that the staff are kinda mixed on this one and that it could be in or could be out. I'm pretty sure they were aware that the TX-130 existed.

Yes, it existed. It played a sizeable roll, but some don't think it was that big.

I say it should be in to be the 2-M of the Republic. They are literally identical.

They were both heavy assault tanks. One was faster and had concussion grenades and a beam turret, while the other was slower with heavier cannons.

no, not  at all. Like I just said, their only similar armaments are concussion missiles:
2M:
deflector shields
medium armor
concussion missiles
anti-infantry cannon
heavy rotating anti-armor laser cannon
TX-130/IFT-X:
deflector shields
light armor
dual heavy laser cannon (not anti-armor)
concussion missiles
rotating beam turret

I love the idea. The republic needs a good speedy tank. Perfectly cannon, and amazingly awesome.

I Definately agree with this, as it is canon and filled role that the AT-TE couldn't as a fast attack Anti-infantry and Anti-Armor(Light-Medium) tank.  Like the AAT closely did for the CIS.

3-0, the TX-130 was pretty much a all purpose task vehicle, it could beat up infantry pretty good up until heavier tropps and anti-tank tropps, that were they die, and a anti tank (pretty much a light anti tank). in mass numbers they were DEADLY against anything when they outnumbered heavily something.

Make that 6-0.  Fast attack tanks with decent armament are sorely needed.  The T2B isn't all that great in a fast attack role.  Even in its intended role, that of infantry hunter/killer, it lacks.

T-2B not good in a fast attack role my [censored]! They are practically MADE for fast attack.
