Jedi Master Rahm Kota and his Millita for the republic
« on: November 16, 2008, 03:49 am »

a highly respected Jedi master of the clone wars, but he is 'special' Jedi because he had a distrust of clone troopers so he used regular men for his army...

Kota's militia
Kota's militia were a small army of recruits that followed Rahm Kota's lead during the Clone Wars until the Galactic Civil War. During the Clone Wars, Rahm Kota did not trust the use of clone troopers and therefore recruited local men for use in his own small army

Militia elite
Militia elites were specially trained members of Rahm Kota's milita. They carried Repeating blasters and wore heavy armor, capable of resisting lightsaber and blaster shots for some time.

Militia trooper
Militia troopers were soldiers in Rahm Kota's militia. They were armed with stun batons and often worked in small groups in an attempt to overwhelm enemy units.

Militia saboteurs
Militia saboteurs were standard medium range infantry units in Rahm Kota's militia. They were armed with blaster rifles and cylindrical thermal grenades

Rejected:
-only appears in one source
-never appears in a source during a UEAW era
-not a very prominent jedi
-vote 6-3 against

I'm pretty sure the team here has rejected lots of stuff from TFU, so I don't think this is a go. However, it'd be nice.

Hm.... sounds interesting.

Did it serve a large role in the Clone Wars?

The Rise of the Empire era isn't part of UEAWs timeline? ???

However, it is only mentioned in the one game, and I don't think there are any canon apperances of Rohm Kota's Militia outisde of TFU.

Yeah, but from what I've read, the team here doesn't think that only one apperance in TFU warrants a place in UEAW.

But you notice how they are all TFU? Does Kota ever appear in the Clone Wars, or is it just siad that he does? What battles did he participate in? Did he have his own fleet? His own transport?

Prior to joining the Jedi Order, Kota fought in the trench warfare that plagued his homeworld. While negotiating a peaceful resolution to a brutal conflict, Mace Windu befriended the then-eighteen-year-old Kota. Once the mission was completed, Mace sought to bring Kota to Coruscant to begin training in the Jedi arts with Jedi Master Yoda as tutor. He gained few friends due to his outward hostility, but his courage was known to all. Kota always opted for the most hazardous missions. He became a tough, grizzled general and participant in many combat sorties during the Clone Wars.

Well, that's not very specific. As I said before, TFU doesn't seem to be liked as a source by the team here.

But it's not my call. If it were, I'd say yes.

Well kota and his militia could be part of the rebellion as they did assist in creating it

his millita disbanded when he lost his sight and do u want a blind jedi? he wouldn't be to much use unless he was a non-battle hero but in the clone wars he could fight

I vote against it one appearance does not give a lot of info and more important heroes could be added that we know more about and have appeared more times.
