I've got a problem now. My internet that I just hooked up to my desktop in my room is screwed up. I can't even see the stickies, let alone read them.

Right now firefox, but I was using Internet explorer, but their both doing the same thing. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

try reconnecting to the internet and redo the same thing again

what router do you have? what ISP do you have? have you made sure that your cable is neetly plugged in? are you using wireless if not using cable? have you downloaded that lates updates from microsoft? have you had any viruses/spyware/adware/malware warnings lately? if not, run a scan and see.

That is true I am only year 10 doing IT at the moment and thats what happens there but the wire is only broken check that

Everything is finewitheveryhing except my web-browser some sittes are okay, but most do wierd things. My ISP is Roadrunner,and I'm using a netgear router, but it's not the router, and if there is a broken connection, I wouldn't even be ableto get on at all. And I think I've got internet eplorer 7. I've heard of a lot of problems with that, so I used firefox (the newest version) and it does exactly the same thing.

I know for sure that it's my desktop now, because it works just fine on my laptop, and my other ten functioning desktops.

Now that Christmas is getting so close, I'm just gonna leave it as it is, because when I get my new laptop to work on, I'm going to do a total wipe of my HDD and I am going to do a dual boot on it so I can use Linux (from the CD) And Windows XP, and Windows 7 (or Vista) My web browser will definately work with Linux, and if any one wants to know how to avoid all viruses, I have a way. Get a copy of Linux, and run it from the CD. If you do this, since the disc is closed, there will be nowhere for viruses to go and nothing will happen with them. That way, people who know about this don't need to worry about screwing with anti-virus stuff. Just keep free programs such as AVG on your installation to scan files as you put them on your computer or flashdrive.
