the field commanders in the game have way to weak armor there advanced weapons are awesome but there weak armor makes them weak witch is weird because there supposed to be better protected than most...
Reasons for Rejecting request:
-field commander is not meant to be a front line unit
-would remove the strategic weakness of the unit
-general consensus against (the vote lost 1-6)

There not suppose to be on the Frontline. There suppose to be at you base and/or a rally point

i hate field commanders, i buy some as the rebs nad first thing that happens is they get crushed by a squad of AT-STs,

i keep far away from 'em and only use fleet commanders,

hmm... they're actually a huge help to your forces, though. the gave a vision boost and a health boost; they give a significant advantage over the enemy. you just have to watch them and be careful with them, because they have a very powerful rifle and can defend themselves against infantry well.

try pitting equal infantry against each other on medium. yours win.

no they're not. They even give armor a 25% health boost. that's pretty substantial. perhaps they could build a little faster?

he means the commander himself one squad of troops and a weak commander he should at least have as much armor as his gaurds because they give the best armor to the higher ranking...

He does have a point, commanders should be more of a combat unit and less of a stay back unit.

Commanders aren't really supposed to be truely out there to fight. They're just meant to boost morale and give bonuses. They're not meant to be like the cheap infantry units.

I know what you're saying but in just making it a booster of bonuses that makes him much less useful. In a way.

yep do you ever see a commander IRL charging on the front lines not usually they stay back to coordinate the battle.
