you could add the nuke strike (once) per battle, with the Empire when there is the appropriate ships over orbit carrying that weapon

Rejected:
-too powerful, upsets balance
-would end the battle by killing all units, draws not possible, so would create a problem
-cannot be made to affect your own units.

Yeah, it's sufficiently done at this point. Plus wouldn't it look slightly out of place in here? Shouldn't it really go for things like C&C?

I was about to menchin that, Nukes are weak in that game, but I would also be to hard to code the "Mushroom" Cloud in UEAW if it was accepted (Which it's not)

Yeah, if it WAS accepted, that means a new complex animation to put in. Plus lets not forget then the fact it created something that in WW2 vaporized parts of Japan, so...

actually the fallout would be the easiest bit, all it has to do is spawn a small object such as a crater which causes area damage over the entire map very slowly.

i think nukes aren't the imp's style, i think it should be a pirate, droid or sith Super weapon.

they're just way overpowered. i mean, even the "weak" WWII explosions would cover the largest EaW maps several times over.

then maybe use a tactical nuke, like C&C nuke cannons, ones that have a small radius but inflict large damge, not ICBM type ones...

ya, that's true. But it would also kill friendly units as well, so it would be like a suicide Bomb

the problem is, friendly fire is almost definitely impossible. so it would envelop the map, kill all enemy units, yet for some reason all your units survive? wouldn't make sense.

With creative coding the nuike could trigger a weather affect called Nuclear Fallout which affects everything, as well as causing area damage to everything. if the particle fired were of a hostile faction it could target everything so friendly fire isn't that hard.

but it couldn't be made in a way that makes sense. you would think i nuke would kill your units too, but that can't be done.

Exactly. It at first thought seemed like a sound idea, but when you put it up against the weapons the game has and the fact it would have to kill everything on the battlefield, is it that good of an idea?

just to add to this when the Empire bombards its own units nothing happens wouldent there units get slaughtered just like the reb units? it all really dosent make sence if u ask me...
