Acklay Indigineous creature
« on: August 21, 2008, 11:59 pm »

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Acklay
"The acklay was a large, nonsentient creature native to the oceans of Vendaxa. Its physical appearance made it a natural predator, with six sharp claws and an aggressive attitude. As such, it was commonly found in gladiatorial arenas on different worlds in the Outer Rim Territories. One world where acklays were present was Geonosis, where they fought in the Petranaki Arena. However, some escaped and managed to survive in the Geonosian deserts despite their native aquatic environment. An acklay was used in the attempted execution of the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi in 22 BBY, but was killed by Kenobi. Acklays were also present on Felucia, where they attacked the 501st Legion during the Battle of Felucia, only to be wiped out by the clone troopers."

If possible could we have Acklay on Geonosis and Felucia as Indigineous creatures?

Quite so. It would be a nice challenge added to capturing the planet, having Acklay speed after your forces. However, don't make them as uber as in BFII's campaign; that would be terrible.

But if you think about it seriously....a single volley from an AT-AT should vaporize those things.

After all Obi-dude lopped off its legs with relative ease

Maybe even less than that. Perhaps maybe about 5 shots from an AT-ST. You should be able to put them down easily enough that it makes it fun to battle them, but not so that they're like tissue paper

oh i know power, for the game they should take some damage before going down.

but "in-universe" an AT-AT main cannons could blow up buildings, and could vaporize aklay like tissue paper

It just wasn't too fun to fight them in BFII, so we're trying to make sure we don't end up losing half of our army to a group of Acklay.

It was cool fighting them in BFII, just would have liked to fight them with aayla instead of getting killed in one hit

seeing how they are really tall, and only thier claws touch the ground id have to think that the plants couldnt even touch them really, seeing how any repulsorlift vehicle was only a few inches, maybe a few feet off the ground

the acklay weren't native to felucia,

The acklay was a large, nonsentient creature native to the oceans of Vendaxa

Acklays were also exported to the world of Felucia, where they flourished.[5] During the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion encountered acklays during the Battle of Felucia. The clone troopers were initially overcome by the creatures, but were able kill all of them.[5][1] At least one acklay was believed to be present in the rumored Geonosian Bio-Lab on Yavin 4.[6]

they were imported to felucia,

well, their food source is on land, so they could come out of the water,  and then when you kill them they could have a respawn time, but it would have to be a large respawn time seeing how you cant destroy the ocean
