I think he meant straight lines. Like a star destroyer. If you could do something like that I think they would be impressed. There's just not that much out there that has a fluid form like that, you know? That still looks really good though. Something like this. Although I don't think it has to be quite as eleaborate...

more detail everywhere... not just in one location.. the whole ship must be equally detailed... http://www.smallartworks.ca/Gallery/Klingon/Klingon.html (notice the detail on the wings, the main fuselage, and the bridge) attached is an example of my best work... i want you to look at the details, see how its not a single plane? there are ravines and crevices, and panels, towers, and etc... in my case, i decided to add little turbolasers.... IF you do that, make sure that you keep the poly count LOW... i suggest using a 5 point circle extruded, instead of a cylinder... instead of 32 vertices per barrel, you have 10... cuts down on ALOT. this is the final version of my Pellaeon Star Destroyer. it took me the equivalent of 70+ hours to model. also take a look at our models gallery here... there are alot of models there that you can draw inspiration from...

Let me clear about this position. This isn't for someone just starting off with little to no experience creating models. We are looking for someone that can create clean, detailed looking models. If you can create models close to pictures in our Gallery, then your chance of joining will be possible. Asking us how your models look does not go here either. That goes here where appropiate: http://www.ultimate-Empire-at-war.com/forum/index.php#4If you can only create models like this, then sorry but the job will not be available to you. Asking us how your models look does not go here either. That goes here where appropiate: http://www.ultimate-Empire-at-war.com/forum/index.php#4 There will are plenty of people willing to give advice. Please note, we dont encourage giving up. If we say no, take the opportunity to improve with model creation. Use our guides to help you along the way. Feel free to try again at a later time when you think that you can provide the level of details in our current models.

Hello all! It is good to see a desire to be a part of the team...we need fresh talent! we ARE looking for talent from someone who has at least, the basic knowledge of how to create a 3D model, from reference pictures. No we are not looking for someone who is an expert, but at the same time we are not looking for someone who is a novice beginner in 3D modeling. Your ability to texture using either Gimp or Photoshop is very helpful but not a requirement. To avoid further confusion, please submit a model file to myself either .obj .dfx .raw .lwo or .3ds along with at least one rendered image of it in .gif or .jpg... you may submit images here if you like, but we will only consider you for the team if we see your model... (I want to see what it looks like in Bryce, or in Maya for that matter, I want to turn it over and look at it from all angles, I want to see how the polygons and normals look). Please make all your submissions address to geraldhattaway@sbcglobal.net and I will forward potential candidates model files and images to Doro for final review and acceptance. GOOD LUCK! Below are examples of two models I made, the first one is an example of a model I built from reference drawings, and in accordance to a reasonable likeness of what the vehicle should look like, (what we are looking for). The second one I dont know WHY I never deleted it...It is an example of what we are NOT looking for.

As I told Solar over Xfire, I'm attempting to extrude and create an E-11 for Stormtroopers for the UEAW team. I may apply in the future if I can become more skilled at this.
