WHAT WILL GET YOU BANNED...
« Reply #1 on: September 14, 2007, 02:54 am »

...A little public announcement...
Just so we are all clear on the forum rules...

Each poster has the ability to go back and edit their posts.
The recommendation would be to go back and make sure that your language (In this public forum) is of a G or tame PG level.
Words like F**K, S**T, G** ***M, ECT. are not considered words acceptable in this mod forum. If found you are posting unacceptable language, you will be banned for a minimum of two weeks, no exceptions. This is not censorship, this is simply our rules. If the rules are violated, you will loose.

On another point, there are recent insults and taunts being tossed around like Frisbees. Save it for the game. NOT HERE...or you will be banned.
we encourage discussion, but not at the expense of others. If you cannot respectfuly disagree with someone, then don't flame them. discuss it, work it out, but DO NOT fling doo doo here.

We encourage each of you to go back and read the forum rules again (or for the first time if you didn't before).

Hah! I am still ultra friendly; I just hate to see a thread get hijacked for no reason at all. There is such a thing as forum trolls who love to rack up posts, just to have more posts than anyone else; a word here, or a word there (example: Cool!) as well as trolls who like to be noticed, and the only way they feel they can get noticed is by hurling insults. (Not going to happen here)

The way I see it, this team is headed for greatness (stay humble though)... but I do not want anyone derailing the chance of greatness by filling the forum with useless garbage. I understand how the corporate world works. If we were ever offered a team contract for a major game company, they would also look at our 'public forum'...that is the PULSE of the team.  We will not only be measured by our product (the mod) but by how we interact. I just had to ban someone for the first time in my life, and it did not feel good. But I had to consider many factors before I did it. What is good for the team was the first factor in mind. OH, this person after two weeks of ban from the forum will be a lot less abusive and annoying. If not will wind up being banned forever (his choice). And it will be what is good for the team. The team has better things to do than baby-sit every post on the forum. We have a mod to make. If the fans do not appreciate that, then they need to let us do our job by not being a pest on the forums. For all the loyal fans who are helpful, loyal, and even encourage us from time to time, I take my hat off in respect and appreciation to you!!! Thoughts anyone?
